Peppermint is a bizarrely versatile flavor found in anything from cupcakes to toothpaste. But it also has a strong emotional connection to holiday season, and luckily we decided to sample desserts on the more delicious end of that spectrum. Here is a list of eight of our favorites that you'll be able to find around Chicago.

There's a little something for everyone, including a vegan cupcake, a scoop of ice cream containing an entire candy cane, a classic bark to satisfy the old-fashioned, and a creamy pie in a department store restaurant for last-minute shoppers.
