I was wrist-banded the moment I walked into the Harmony Grill, which I'm not sure I've ever had to do before eating a sandwich before. Was the food only acceptable for adults because of some devious reason? Not exactly. Turns out Harmony Grill just happens to be attached to Schubas, a legendary live music venue in Lakeview. Now, I never expect much from restaurants attached to theaters, but perhaps that is all changing. If Bite Cafe can feed the hungry patrons of the Empty Bottle in style, then Harmony Grill could have an elevated diner menu.

According to the Honey Chicken Brie sandwich ($11.00) I recently sampled, Harmony Grill sure does. I was sold the moment I realized that the grilled chicken was juicy and properly cooked. But I kept digging in thanks to the hunk of brie draped on top. (The glazed apples didn't hurt, either.) It's all housed on tomato focaccia, which is just flavorful enough to add to the sandwich without covering everything up.
