The Bristol made the cut. [Photograph: Anna Deem]

When it comes to covering the brunch scene in Chicago, I'm all about passing the buck. Anna is our reporter on that front, and I don't interfere. Why? Honestly, can't think of the last time I ate the meal. That is definitely not the case with the folks over at Time Out Chicago. Their epic brunch issue takes a look at, among other things, the 52 (!) best brunches, the expected wait times at popular joints, and how to construct a great Bloody Mary. Plus, it includes picks for where to find the best examples of quiche, eggs Benedict, huevos rancheros, and french toast. It's so detailed and exhaustive that it almost makes me feel ashamed I don't get out on weekend mornings more often. Almost. Take a look at all the picks here.
