As you may remember, we spent half of January searching for the best batch of buffalo wings in the city. Initially worried that all the places would likely taste the same, we actually found wild differences in the 19 places we visited. But in the end, Jake Melnick's took the top spot thanks to its balance of crunchy, crispy skin and juicy meat. Although we are a little late with this news (okay, so we're really, really late) we just had to chime in and congratulate the Gold Coast hangout for winning the "Hot Category" at the 2012 Chicago WingFest. In fact, this is its third consecutive win.
