Savory or sweet: that is the eternal brunch question. For those days when you refuse to choose a side, the recently opened City Farms Market & Grill provides an inspired option. Their version of the Montecristo Sandwich ($8.99) features grilled ham, tender roasted turkey, and swiss cheese between two pieces of French toast—a sandwich bread substitute that should be utilized more often.

A side of homemade currant jelly allows you to personally adjust the sweet to salty ratio. I thought the salty elements were substantial enough that I enjoyed spreading a dab of the jam on each bite. If any bite ended up a little sweeter than I had intended, the perfectly salted fries were a great way to even things out again.
