A Sandwich a Day: Breakfast Croissant from Bucktown Beanery

I've got a thing for croissant sandwiches. (You could slap just about anything between those buttery halves, and I'd be as happy as a clam.) But luckily for the less-croissant-obsessed, the Breakfast Croissant ($4.99) from Bucktown Beanery has more going for it than that. Served with a small Metropolis coffee, the sandwich is made up of fluffy scrambled eggs, a slice of melted cheddar, and your choice of meat (I went with ham), all layered between a warm croissant. The sandwich is substantial without weighing you down, making it the perfect start to a productive day—even for those out there that don't dream exclusively in croissants.
