Let the year-end countdowns begin! Time Out Chicago is first out of the gate with its annual "100 Best Things We Ate & Drank This Year," a list that is as epic and as it sounds. I mean, it's so long and comprehensive, how can I possible argue with any of the results when there are so many that I have yet to try? Also, any list that features La Chaparrita's taco de tripa has to know what's going on.

One interesting note, instead of pairing the article with straightforward food shoots, the magazine decided to gather local art photographers to create highly stylized food art. You might not be able to tell what many of these dishes are, but they certainly do look beautiful. The best part? One of the excellent contributors is our very own former photography intern, Debbie Carlos. Awesome job!
