Meet The Market at Allium

The folks behind Growing Power will be the guests of honor at The Green City Market Junior Board's latest Meet the Market at Allium. Chef Kevin Hickey will be serving free appetizers made from the farm's produce. If you purchase a speciality cocktail, a portion of the proceeds will go to Green City Market's composting program. Pierogi Fest
Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Although this festival is actually in Indiana, the drive is short and worth it for pierogi lovers. The popular pierogi toss and pierogi eating contest happen Sunday afternoon, but the entire weekend brings the chance to enjoy pierogis filled with cheese, potato, sauerkraut, kielbasa, apricot, mushroom, and halusky. Blu benefit for Shedd Aquarium

Beer, Beats, and Brews at Three Aces
Sunday, beginning at 3 p.m.
