Gallery: 'Are You Tripping?': Flavor-Changing Cocktails at iNG in Chicago

Gin & tonic on the rock
Gin & tonic on the rock

This gorgeous cocktail morphs from a gin and tonic (though, actually, there is no tonic in the drink; shhhh) into a Screwdriver. The molded sheath around the drink is made of lime juice.

Lemon drop fizz

This cocktail features sparkling wine, lemon juice and carbonated fruit, a Cantu innovation. The fruit is placed in a chamber filled with carbon dioxide, under pressure, and after about a day it fizzes when you eat it. Next to the drink, a spoonful of miracle berry powder.

Hot toddy & Arnold Palmer
Hot toddy & Arnold Palmer

It begins with a non-traditional hot toddy of gin, Earl Grey tea, and lemon, poured into a teacup. Then, once guests are "tripping," they can suck it through the straw, which is coiled through the ice water bath/flask. The lemon acts as a sweetener, turning the drink into an Arnold Palmer.

Guests can drink the margarita straight or mix with the juice in the test tube. While the drink has no sugar at all, it tastes like punch once you take the miracle berry.
