It takes a determined soul to brave the endless brunch lines at Uptown's Tweet, but I figured an unseasonably warm Sunday morning was the perfect time to see if Tweet lived up to its reputation. Approximately one hour and one cocktail later, I finally found myself seated with a menu in hand. Upon noticing that Tweet had not one, but SIX different variations of a breakfast burrito on their menu, I knew I had to try one—but which one?
I settled on number six ($11.00)—or "Numero Seis" as it is listed on the menu—a steak burrito with grilled skirt steak, organic eggs, onions, potatoes, and cilantro. The burrito was also accompanied by pico de gallo, crème fraiche, salsa, and chipotle mayo. It could have been that hour wait, but my patience for the DIY breakfast burrito was a little limited. Still, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the eggs were fluffy. Even if you have to assemble it, Tweet's breakfast burrito number six is still much better than most that you would find on a standard brunch menu.
