Just in time for the Cubs' first home game of the season, Rockit Burger Bar, which is located directly across the street from Wrigley Field, is set to open to the masses today. Until a few months ago, this was a Rockit Bar & Grill, but the restaurant group decided to revamp the concept to offer a more streamlined menu.
In this case, that means burgers, and there are a lot of them—16 to be exact, if you count the veggie, turkey, and chicken offerings. All the beef burgers feature an 8-ounce patty made with freshly ground Black Angus beef, which you can get topped with an assortment of other ingredients. Also on the menu are a bunch of shareable appetizers and flatbread pizzas.
This also being a bar, the beverages take up almost as much space on the menu. Along with craft beers and "not so craft" beers (as they listed on the bar menu), Rockit has a few whiskey based cocktails, and some offerings that can be ordered by the pitcher.
We stopped by for a media preview last night to get a sampling. Check out the slideshow, and let us know what you think about the place!
