The Best Places to Eat Near U.S. Cellular Field
[Photographs: Nick Kindelsperger, unless otherwise noted]
A few weeks ago, I examined the offerings around Wrigley Field, which turned out not to be nearly as hard as I'd imagined. But as the last three games have resoundingly proved (go Sox!), there is another baseball team in Chicago that deserves some attention. Whereas The Friendly Confines is located in the middle of one of the most populated neighborhoods in the city, the White Sox play at U.S. Cellular Field, which technically resides in Armour Square, a long and skinny area stuck between Dan Ryan Expressway on the east and the Union Pacific railroad lines on the west. Most people just call it Bridgeport, and as you've probably noticed from reading this site, there are a ton of great restaurants nearby.

In fact, with so many options, I limited the options to those within a half mile of the park. That left out some heavy hitters (yeah, I went there), but I believe there are more than enough good options to keep you full. Check them all out, and then let me know if I missed any places.
