What's the best Chinese restaurant in Chicago? Well, that's a bit of a loaded question, don't you think? It's kind of like inquiring about the the best European restaurant, forcing you to choose between the equaling stunning offerings of Italy and France. With so many people, it makes sense that there are numerous regional cuisines in China that differ dramatically from each other. Some may prefer the spicy addictive kick found in Sichuan, while others go for the funkier offerings from Hunan.
Luckily, Chicago manages to cover a lot of ground. Though we'd like to see more great Chinese restaurants around, it's great to realize how many options there truly are. We asked our contributors to pick out their favorite, and of the eight replies, seven of them were different. As you probably guessed, there's a Tony Hu restaurant or four, but even there we couldn't agree on the best.
