GalleryMarket Scene: Lettuce, Peas, and More Things Green at the Logan Square Farmers' Market in Chicago
In season now: strawberries, snap peas, snow peas, peas, rhubarb, radishes, garlic scapes, kale, asparagus, rainbow chard.
In season soon: green beans, squash, tomatoes.
I'm always amazed by the growth at the Logan Square Farmers' Market. Each year adds more farmers and vendors, and it's now to the point where stands are lined up along Logan Boulevard from the corner of Milwaukee Avenue to Whipple St. That's a lot to cover in one post, especially since the last time we checked in was back in 2010. Fortunately, thanks to a stop halfway for a snow cone at Jo Snow, I was able to make it through. Check out all the summer produce you can now find at the market by clicking on the slideshow.
The Logan Square Farmers' Market is located at the corner of Logan Boulevard and Milwaukee Avenue every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
