Tips and tricks for making the best sandwiches at home.
I never would have known that LooseLeaf Lounge and eatery was on the beginning of a busy strip of Broadway if my coworker hadn't recommended it to me. Maybe I fly by it with fried-chicken focus because it is so close to Crisp, or maybe I'm not a tea drinker and blocked it out. Either way, I'm glad I now know these sandwiches exist.
You can tell LooseLeaf crafts sandwiches with care. Nothing looks like it was haphazardly slapped on, and there was nothing I didn't like about the chicken pesto ($6.75). The pesto on here is basil-heavy, just how I like it. This is one thick sandwich, due to a generous chicken slice and the rosemary bread that might be the highlight. The crunch on the outside makes it clear it's fresh, while it's incredibly soft on the inside. The additions of sun dried tomato, red onion, and provolone kept it from being too simple and rounded it out nicely.
Bonus: they have breakfast sandwiches, and you better believe I'll be back to try those.
